There are two types of EV sellers. The ones buyers negotiate against. And the ones buyers choose.

The battery question that killed deals. Until now.

The battery is the most expensive component in any used EV: $15,000 to $25,000 to replace. Sellers could not prove it, buyers could not verify it, so every deal rested on one stranger trusting another.

The research is in. Certified EVs win.

Up to 36% faster

Certified EVs sell faster than uncertified counterparts across six-country research.

57% of buyers

Would consider a used EV they otherwise would not if it carries an independent certificate.

UK data agrees: certified EVs sold 7.3 days faster on average (43.1 versus 50.4 days). And a UK auction trial of cloud-based certificates, built from manufacturer API data exactly as ours are, found certified Teslas drew 20% more views, 34% more unique views and 10% more bids.

Auction houses and dealer groups already certify batteries before selling. Why would you sell privately without one?

Your word, your app screenshot, a dongle in a port you control: still your word. A workshop test is credible, but costly, slow, and hard to schedule.

Five grades. One clear answer.

Grade

SoH range

What it means for your sale

Excellent

95 to 100%

Peak condition. Buyer hesitation disappears. Full asking price.

Strong

85 to 94%

Normal wear, verified. Negotiation moves to the car, not the battery.

Moderate

75 to 84%

Noticeable degradation. Price fairly upfront and avoid collapsed deals.

Declining

60 to 74%

Significant degradation. Price accordingly, avoid post-sale disputes.

Replace

Below 60%

Replacement likely. Know before listing: price honestly, or weigh a trade-in.

Bands are 9 to 14 points wide, so an excellent battery never accidentally grades moderate. Your result stays private until you unlock and share it.

Selling without a certificate

The buyer asks. You have no answer. They negotiate on fear, not condition. You drop thousands because you cannot prove nothing is wrong.

Selling with a certificate

Yours is the listing buyers trust. The question is answered before it is asked. You kept the thousands. Your battery was fine. Now everyone knows it.

Frequently asked questions

The audit is built around one clear charge session and a private result that only becomes public when you share it.

After. Connect free, and pay the $99 only when your verified result is confirmed ready. No charge to connect, no charge if we cannot generate your result.

Drive until the battery is under 20%, press Start Audit, then charge to 80% in a single AC session. DC fast charging does not qualify.

Yes. They scan the QR code and land on our verification page, served from our live record. You cannot edit what they see.

In Australia: Tesla and Polestar. In the US, UK and Canada: 46 brands including Tesla, Hyundai, Kia, Polestar, Volvo, Ford, Chevrolet, Rivian, Volkswagen, Nissan and BYD. Not on the list yet? Leave your email and you'll hear from us the day your brand goes live.

Within 3 to 5 percentage points, because we measure delivered energy across a wide charging window rather than quoting a dashboard estimate. That is comparable with hardware-based tests costing three times as much, without anything plugged into your car. Every certificate states its test conditions so a buyer can see exactly how the result was produced.

You don't pay. No result, no charge, ever. The audit needs one charging session that starts below 20% and runs to 80%. If your session gets interrupted, or you plugged in before pressing Start Audit, nothing is lost. Drive as normal until you're back under 20%, press Start Audit, and plug in again. The system does the rest and your audit completes automatically at 80%. You don't need to unplug or set an alarm. You'll wake up to your result.

No. The connection is read-only through your manufacturer's own authorised interface. Nothing is installed, nothing is written to the car, and no commands are ever sent. The audit simply observes one of your normal charging sessions. For LFP batteries, the pre-audit charge to 100% is the manufacturer's own recommended calibration practice. Tesla's manual asks LFP owners to do it weekly.

Free tracking apps show the owner a number on the owner's own phone. As a buyer you have no way to know if a screenshot is real, recent, or even from that car. A certificate exists because verification only counts when it's independent: VIN-locked, served from our servers, and checkable by the buyer without trusting the seller at all.

Yes. Your credentials go to your manufacturer's own login screen and never pass through our servers. Battery data only. Revoke any time.

One extra step, done first: charge to 100%, then drive under 20%, press Start Audit, and charge to 80%.

Only if you make it public. Private until you unlock and share the link or QR code.

Your car already measures everything that matters while it charges and reports it to your manufacturer's own cloud. We read that data through an authorised, read-only connection, then independently calculate how much energy your battery actually delivered across the audit window and compare it with your battery's original capacity. We don't just repeat the dashboard's opinion. We measure what the pack really did.

Then you found out first, and privately. Your result stays locked until you choose to unlock and share it. A lower grade you know about is a negotiating position: you price the car honestly and the deal holds. A lower grade a buyer's inspection finds later is a collapsed sale. Knowing first is the whole point.

No, and it never pretends to be newer than it is. Every certificate permanently states its audit date and the odometer reading at the time of the test, so a buyer always knows exactly what was verified and when. We recommend running your audit within 30 to 60 days of listing the car.

Yes, and you should. Send the seller this page. The audit runs from their driveway in about a day and the certificate arrives VIN-locked with a QR code you verify on our servers, independent of anything the seller shows you. And if a seller won't spend $99 to prove the battery's condition, that tells you something too.

No. Every certificate is VIN-locked to one vehicle and lives on our servers, not the seller's phone. The QR code resolves to our live record, so a forged or edited PDF fails the scan the moment a buyer checks it. If the scan and the certificate don't match, walk away.
